TAYLOR WIMPEY ONLINE CONSULTATION - LIVE UNTIL 16th JULY 2026

Hi everyone,

Like many residents, we (Romanby Parish Council) attended the Taylor Wimpey (TW) consultation event on Thursday 2nd July in Northallerton town hall, where the company were seeking residents view on their initial concepts/proposals ahead of a probable planning application to build circa 180 homes on land in our Parish.

We, and many of you, had courteous, and sometimes robust discussions with the TW staff about what they are proposing.

Following that event, and especially if you were not able to attend, there is an opportunity to comment/have your say online, direct to TW, via a link to their website, which we are sharing HERE. Please do take the time to comment if you wish, BUT REMEMBER - these comments are ONLY going to TW, to help inform their development of their planning application. You have until the 16th July to comment to them.

If and when a formal planning application is submitted by TW to North Yorkshire Council, then we will all have opportunity to formally comment and object/support the application. At that point, when we have precise details of any formal application, we will also launch a residents survey (as we always do for large planning applications in the Parish) to capture views and comments, as we will, as a statutory consultee, be representing resident views to the NYC Planning committee. But all of that is yet to happen.

If you are, or you know friends/neighbours who want to comment, but are not perhaps tech savvy enough to complete an online form, then we have paper copies of TW's questionnaire, that we got our hands on during Thursday evening - these are available at the Parish Office at the Ainderby Road Leisure Ground - open every Wed - Fri morning; we will make sure those comments get to TW.
