RSS feedTHE ROMANBY MEMORIAL CLOCK TOWER CENTENARY – 2027
As we now work on the third and final phase of the Romanby Memorial Clock Tower restoration this year (2026), which will see the full refurbishment of the 99-year old clock mechanism and clock faces, as well as work to restore the paths in the Memorial Garden, we are letting everyone know WELL in advance (!) that we will be having a series of community events in 2027 to mark the centenary of our landmark memorial and gardens.

PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL/CARE HOME DEVELOPMENT – Old Central Depot Cricket Club Site - Developer Application Re-submission
A lot of Romanby residents are now fully aware of a proposed planning application (from Lovell Homes) that has now been formally re-submitted for a proposed 50-dwelling (was 55) and 73-bed care home development on the old Cricket Club/Arla land, Ainderby Road.
