Romanby Parish Council has sought the views of local residents, businesses, and community groups on a proposal to develop a new community hub in the current sports pavilion/Parish office building at the Ainderby Road Leisure ground (ARLG), to be known as The Romanby Pavilion. The final report on the public consultation has now been published.

Yorkshire Water at the Ainderby Road Leisure Ground - 30th October 2026
We're excited to be welcoming Yorkshire Water and their Ranger Team to the Romanby Parish Council Wildlife Garden for a free family event this October.on October 30th - come along and get involved in Halloween crafts, wildlife activities and fun ways to learn about looking after our environment and saving water.
We're also incredibly grateful that Yorkshire Water will be making a donation to support the wildlife garden, helping us continue to develop and care for this valuable space for both the community and local wildlife.
Yorkshire Water are currently in our area upgrading smart water meters and will also be on hand to answer questions about the meters and explain how they can help households better understand their water use and spot leaks sooner.

Car Parking Issues In Romanby - RPC Next Steps
FIRST MEETING HELD – 11TH AUGUST 2026
At our April 2026 Full Council meeting we (Romanby Parish Council – RPC) formally agreed to take the lead in calling together a multi-agency meeting (like we did back in 2017) to discuss the wide-ranging issues around car parking in the Parish, exacerbated since the closure of the 60-space car park on the Arla land on Ainderby Road.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC RIGHTS AND PUBLICATION OF ANNUAL GOVERNANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY RETURN
Each year Romanby Parish Council prepares an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR). The AGAR has been published with this notice. It will not be reviewed by the appointed auditor, since the smaller authority has certified itself as exempt from the appointed auditor’s review.
Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the AGAR, the accounting records for the financial year to which it relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested
