Hello again everyone,

A lot of Romanby residents are now fully aware of a proposed planning application (from Lovell Homes) that has now been formally re-submitted for a proposed 50-dwelling (was 55) and 73-bed care home development on the old Cricket Club/Arla land, Ainderby Road.

The developer has made a string of changes to the application based on comments from its first application from Highways, National Rail and ecology/aboreculturalist specialists.

Once again, we we strongly encourage residents to respond to the planning application (by the 8th December 2025) - the application reference on the North Yorkshire Council (NYC) Planning Portal is ZB25/01064/FUL; we have also been asked (as statutory consultees) to comment again on this proposal.

Our first response in July 2025, partly based on a residents survey we conducted, are on the planning portal and can be read HERE  - we anticipate submitting a similar response once we have checked all the documentation.
