MAINS GAS PIPE REPLACEMENT PROGRAMME IN ROMANBY - BEGINNING IN DECEMBER 2025
Hello everyone,
We have been advised by Northern Gas Networks UK, that they are undertaking a 16-week rolling replacement of ageing metal gas pipes in Romanby with more durable plastic ones, beginning in December 2025.
The map below shows the mains that are being replaced (red dotted lines) - clearly this is a VERY significant works programme that will affect traffic flow around the Parish, especially Lees Lane & Boroughbridge Road.
We are sharing what we have been told with you, our residents - we have no control or input to this work - all being managed and coordinated by Northern Gas Networks; their email is customercare@northerngas.co.uk.
We will update residents as and when further information becomes available to us later in the year. SB.
