CPAD (Community Public Access Defibrillator)

Thanks to a county-wide initiative in partnership with Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Romanby now has several CPADs, with our one situated on the wall of the parish office at Romanby Leisure Park.

Several councillors took advantage of the free training associated with the device and are now aware of how to respond in a situation which may require the use of the CPAD.

The CPAD is housed in a green weatherproof cabinet and can only be accessed with a combination code which will be given by emergency service operators in the event of a suspected cardiac arrest.

Although RPC are pleased to have been able to oversee the introduction of the CPAD,  it is perhaps the one facility in our parish which we sincerely hope never gets any use.
