Council Tax - Romanby Element 2022-23
Romanby Parish Precept (Council Tax) for 2022-23
Residents will now be receiving their Council Tax Bills for the coming year (mine plopped through the letter box today), and as you can see, in the Romanby "bit" we (Romanby Parish Council) have asked for a 4.8% increase to approx £29.20 (Band D) for the year for each household (£2.43 per month - up ONLY 11p per month from last year). This provides us with approximately £68K for the year to do all that we do for our great Parish.
Please remember, we have NO input or control over any other part of your Council Tax bill.
We hope you agree that this is good value for money for the services that the Parish Council provide - grass-cutting, hedge cutting, play-parks, gardens and open spaces and so much more - especially during these last exceptional 2 x years with things like our Covid Street Warden scheme. This coming year we have some new green initiatives, and of course we will be organising events to celebrate the Jubilee.
Our Annual Public Meeting next month on the 12th April provides an opportunity for residents to hear about what we have done in the last year, and how we use your money to try and keep Romanby in good shape - please join us if you can - we will publish details nearer the time.
We also publish our accounts each year, and these will also be explained at our annual meeting next month.
As always, we are happy to take questions and comments, here, or by email.
